In the 70s, the variety of cannabis

Haze

(= fog) arrives in California. Quickly, it invaded the cannabic market in the United States then, in the whole world. This famous 100% sativa plant was indeed an immediate success. As well for its organoleptic properties as for the power and the singularity of its effects. It quickly gave birth to many hybrids. These are obtained by successive crossings of this pure line of sativa with cannabis indica judiciously selected. All its variants exist to answer a strong demand of the consumers of cannabis and to emphasize a very particular characteristic among the many present in the original Haze plant. Among the most popular are:

  • Amnesia Haze, Super Silver Haze, Purple Haze, Northern Lights 5 Haze, Strawberry Haze and

    Super Lemon Haze

    .

At the end of the Nineties, the Super Lemon Haze is declined in Super Lemon Haze CBD (in reference to the cannabinoid molecule, the cannabidiol).

The origins of Super Lemon Haze

Super Lemon Haze (and its CBD version) is an original sativa-dominant hybrid. It results from numerous crosses made from seeds of sativa (Haze) and indica coming from the famous bank of seeds “

Greenhouse seeds

“. Its parents would be a Lemon Skunk and a Super Silver Haze. It was born in the late 90s, when the world began to take interest in CBD (cannabidiol). It quickly made its way into the top rankings of the best “weed”:

  • En 2008, sheshe obtains the 1st price in the High Times Cannabis Cup
  • In 2013, eit obtains the1st place in the category sativa of the cannabis

The seed bank Greenhouse seeds Dutch has, to date, one of the largest collections of seeds (not to say THE largest!). As a result, these seeds have a variety of interesting genetics. Super Lemon Haze is the result of 25 years of research and selection of the best cannabis strains around the world. These hybridizations allow to obtain the “must” in term of taste, effects and cannabic output. Thus, they satisfy all consumers and growers of hemp.

The culture of the Super Lemon Haze

The Super Lemon Haze cannabis plant is fast growing and flowering (about 10 weeks in controlled conditions: indoor). Its leaves are typical of those of a sativa (small but broad). Its flowers are quite compact and extremely provided with trichomes (resinous glands containing the cannabinoids and the terpenes of the plant).

Despite its medium size, its important resin production allows an abundant harvest. As a result, it gives an excellent return:

  • 600 grams per square meter on average for indoor cultivation
  • up to 1200 grams per square meter outdoors

Moreover, this variety of cannabis is rather robust and rather resistant to the pests (moulds…) what makes its culture relatively easy.

The classic version of this variety clearly prefers an outdoor growing method (super yield). But, the Super Lemon Haze CBD is rather cultivated inside from feminized seeds Greenhouse seeds.

The effects of Super Lemon Haze

Super Lemon Haze has very high THC levels (up to 23%) and a very low CBD content (0.2%). These characteristics give it powerful effects. As any sativa which respects itself, its action is very stimulating cerebrally and is sometimes accompanied by euphoria if the situation lends itself to it (evening, meeting between friends). It is an energetic herb that motivates its consumer in his immediate projects. It is said to be an inspiring plant. It is ideal for creation. On this point, all opinions converge! However, its high concentration of THC (psychotropic substance) is likely to cause paranoia and addiction. It is, therefore, completely illegal to sell, produce or consume.

The case of Super Lemon Haze CBD

On the other hand, the Super Lemon Haze CBD is legal. Indeed, its very low THC content (< 0,2%) does not give him the status of narcotic in the French legislation as the varieties of classic Haze. Here, the rate of CBD is optimal for a natural plant (around 6%). It therefore balances the effects of this cannabis. We find the characteristics of the classic Super Lemon Haze but, with a relaxing action in more.

Opinion on the organoleptic qualities of the Super Lemon Haze

Whatever the type of Super Lemon Haze (classic or CBD), its smell and its taste make its fame. Its sweet and acidulous flavours at the same time, combine perfectly with the typical notes Haze (incense and pepper). They thus highlight the dominant aroma of lemon. Indeed, among the many terpenes present in the flowers of this variety, limonene is the one that stands out the most. Its smell is pungent and slightly sweet, perfectly in harmony with the effects of this “weed”! The opinions about it are unanimous: its aromatic profile is top!

The modes of consumption of Super Lemon Haze

Whatever the product made from this variety, to be marketable, it must meet the legislation in force in the country concerned. To be legal in France, these CBD products must have a THC concentration lower than 0.2%.

cbd daily uses

They come in different forms: flowers, seeds, resin, liquid, oil. Therefore, they can be used in several ways:

  • The flowers, the resin, and the CBD oil can be smoked (be careful, smoking is dangerous for your health), vaporized (very fashionable), ingested in the form of herbal tea or cooked.
  • Seeds are usually purchased from Green House seeds for collectors and licensed growers. However, they can also be infused or consumed as a condiment in cooking recipes (roasted or as oil seeds)
  • Liquids are only used with electronic cigarettes (like pods).

The Super Lemon Haze
distinguishes itself from all the other varieties of Haze mainly thanks to its exceptional organoleptic qualities. All the opinions on its effects converge to say that it is very balanced
and that it has a more than interesting quality/price ratio. Therefore, it is an ideal plant for daily consumption. Its stimulating and relaxing effects provide its consumer with a cheerful but reasoned motivation, not delirious like the classic version.
